Trask River High School Facade and bench

All youth who have not yet completed a GED or high school diploma are required to attend school. Tillamook has a school on site to help students earn high school and college credits.

Trask River High School has a similar structure to other public schools, including:
  • A principal, certified teachers, and other support staff.
  • A fully digital campus with computers and laptops for all students.
  • A five-period school day.
  • Educational goals that require them to work toward earning a high school diploma or GED.
If they have already earned their high school diploma, students can take college courses online.

In addition to opportunities at Trask River High School, we also have vocational training programs, including a woodshop, a tree farm, a food cart, and agricultural training.

If a youth is meeting behavioral and educational goals, they may have the chance to participate in supervised work crews in the community and earn money for this work. This includes park stream and trail maintenance, work at the Tillamook fairgrounds, and assistance for community businesses and homeowners. Work crews are an important step in helping youth develop their judgment and problem-solving skills, which are vital to successfully transitioning into the community.
